The Danish brand Newline started out in action – between the sky and the ground. In 1981, while skydiving, one Danish parachuting enthusiast started to think about why his clothes always get wet when his parachute stays dry. Thanks to his curiosity, one of the first functional sets was made of the parachute material, using knowledge he gained by serving in special forces, as well as his long-time experience running.
