The Avalanche Backpack Mammut Light Protection Airbag 3.0 30L is a ski mountaineering backpack with a unique system that increases the chance of survival in the event of an avalanche. The airbag on the upper part of the backpack fully inflates in 3 seconds. Thanks to its 150L capacity, the airbag will help you stay on the surface of the avalanche and not get buried in it. The airbag is shaped to protect your head, neck and chest when you get buried in an avalanche, preventing injury. The height-adjustable deployment handle can be folded up and stored in the shoulder strap while the crotch strap secures the backpack in place. The entire airbag system (the airbag, carbon cartridge and deployment handle) can be removed. However, it is not heavy (it weighs approximately 1kg), so the backpack is comfortable even when it is on it.
